Color up your Life!

This may take a little bit longer but it will work. Writing in color will help you retain 50% more of the information without reading it a second time. So, when you are taking notes or revising your textbook, use different colored pen/ highlighter!

Don’t miss lessons (even if you hate the subject or teacher)!
The most important advice we can give to you is to make sure you attend your classes.

But you may ask “Why should I”? Our response is simple, even if you hate the subject or teacher, you can use this time to brush up on your note-taking skills.

How to improve my grades, without spending money!

We highly recommend that you follow these steps to increase your chances of improving your grades:

1. Read all textbook material relevant to the topic being covered prior to attending class, even though you do not understand some of the terms. This may be a daunting task but it will give you an idea of what to expect during the upcoming lessons.

2. Do take notes in your classes; otherwise you will forget it within the next few hours!

3. Always ask! Ask your teachers if you do not understand what was taught. If you still do not understand, ask your friends! You have got nothing to lose!

Using Group Notes
Is your teacher going at a supersonic pace? Are you struggling to keep up?

Our advice…

Simple, just form a group with some of your reliable and trusted classmates and take turns taking class notes. Concentrate on what is being said in class when it’s not your day to be the note-taker.

Instead of photocopying the notes from your classmates, we recommend that you copy them over by hand while picturing in your mind what was taught previously.
